Dear Coach, The next Dek hockey season will begin Monday January 21st. The meeting on Wednesday January 9th at 7pm is mandatory. ALL teams must have a representative present. A $800. deposit will be due at meeting. (If you leave a credit card, it will be charged that night). Payment in full is due by the 3rd game. League fee for the season is $1600.00 if the team is paid in full by the 3rd game, otherwise the fee will be $1700.00. Teams must be paid in full by their 5th game or they will not be permitted on the rink. In order to be put on the schedule, you must attend the meeting and leave a deposit. Game times will be Monday thru Friday 8, 9. 10 or 11pm, Saturday and Sunday 6,7,8,9,10 or 11pm. All team reps must know the days and times your team cannot play. In trying to accomodate everyone's scheduling needs we ask before schedules are made days and times that are difficult for your team to play. Game changes are difficult and cause confusion for all involved, therefore changing a game after the schedules are complete cannot be done. Keep in mind your yeam will have at least 7 out of 10 games according to your requests. Another issue that has come up is high-level players playing in a lower division. The rules are as followes: 3 "A" players on a "B" roster 2 "A" players on a "C" roster 1 "A" player on a "D" roster The last issue is teams not willing to be placed in a higher division after having success in their current division. This is not fair to the other teams, to correct this the new rule is as follows: All teams who finish 1st or 2nd in their division will be moved up one division. (This does not apply to "B" teams moving to "A"). Also all teams who finish last or next to last may move down a division if they wish. All players must be AAU Members. All AAU Memberships expired on the 31st of August 2007. All players must renew their memberships for the new membership year. Any membership purchased after August 15th, 2007 is good for the 2008 membership year. AAU memberships can be purchased in the office or on-line at the AAU website.(www.aausports.org). Membership fees are: $27.00 on-line or $30.00 in the office. Again, attendance at the meeting is mandatory.
