• COVID FAQs

Q: Are people required to wear face coverings?

A:

NY State issued guidance stating that "fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal or territorial laws, rules and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance."

If a person is fully vacinated, he/she will not be required to wear a mask while at The Sports Arena.  If a person is NOT fully vaccinated, they are expected to wear a mask while at The Sports Arena.  If that person is performing in a physical activity and cannot tolerate the face covering, it may be removed, but needs to be put back on when the physical activity has concluded.

If you have a health issue that makes you unable to tolerate a face covering, you do not need to wear one.

Q: Are spectators allowed to attend a league game or activity?

A:

DEK HOCKEY LEAGUE (Youth, Girls, Mens and Women):  There are no spectator limits.

FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE (Youth and Mens): There are no spectator limits.

BASKETBALL LEAGUE (Youth):  There are no spectator limits.

BASKETBALL LEAGUE (Mens):  There are no spectator limits.

CAMPS, TRAINING & RENTALS: There are no spectator limits.

Spectator policies are subject to change and are based on the NY state and local government capacity limits.

Q: What should I do when I arrive for my game/activity?

A:

Upon your arrival, you are now allowed to enter The Sports Arena while the previous game/activity is in progress.

Q: What are the cleaning/sanitizing procedures?

A:

  • At the conclusion of each game/activity, our staff sanitizes the playing area and stands prior to the next scheduled game/activity.  The Sports Arena's game/activity schedule has accounted for this extra cleaning time.
  • Notwithstanding all the precautions that The Sports Arena will take, due to the nature of the virus, the risk of contracting COVID-19 remains.
