OVERVIEW

The Sports Arena is committed to providing our customers and staff with a clean and safe environment, to compliment the very best leagues, programs and activities. We pride ourselves in our high degree of hospitality, integrity, and attention to detail. 

Protocols were implemented in July 2020 and are updated on an ongoing basis, as we receive new information and directives from governmental and other health agencies and organizations, and based on our experience navigating this “new normal”.  

Notwithstanding all the precautions that The Sports Arena will take, due to the nature of the virus, the risk of contracting COVID-19 remains, as we are all aware.  Please be safe, respect others and follow all of the precautions, protections and protocols put in place.  

SCREENING

At each designated entrance, each person wishing to enter must have their temperature checked using a no contact thermometer.  Anyone with a temperature higher than 99.5% will not be permitted into the facility. 

All players, coaches and spectators must perform a health screening (parents for their children) in advance of their arrival at The Sports Arena.  Any person exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, either upon arrival, or at any point during their time at The Sports Arena, will be sent home, and will need to be symptom free and test negative for the virus before returning.

Please exhibit caution and courtesy to others by staying home if you or your child(ren) are exhibiting any of the following symptoms:

Fever or chills 

Cough

Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

Fatigue

Muscle or body aches

Headache

New loss of taste or smell

Sore throat

Congestion or runny nose

Nausea or vomiting

Diarrhea

Any other signs of illness

The Sports Arena staff will be screened upon their arrival to work. Any staff member exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, either upon arrival, or at any point during the day, will be sent home, and will need to be symptom free and provide a Department of Health release form to return to work.  

FACE COVERINGS

ALL are required to wear a face covering at all times. As defined by NY State for Players - if during the physical activity a player cannot tolerate the face covering, it may be removed, but must be put back on when the physical activity has concluded.  Coaches and trainers are required to wear masks at all times.  If a person has a health issue that makes them unable to tolerate a face covering, they are not required to wear one.

SPECTATOR RESTRICTIONS

ADULT LEAGUES: No spectators are allowed.

YOUTH LEAGUES: One (1) spectator is allowed per per player. Spectators must wear a face covering at all times.  Social distancing practices and signs have been posted throughout The Sports Arena.

ENTRANCE & EXIT LOCATIONS

The Sports Arena makes every effort to adhere to social distancing best practices.  Entrances and exits have been created and are required for anyone who enters the facility.   Signs are posted above ALL Entrances and Exits

Leagues or Activities that utilize the Rink will Enter and Exit from the Main Entrance

Activities that utilize the Training Field (aka All Purpose Room), have an Entrance and an Exit located in the rear of the building.

Leagues or Activities that utilize the Turf Field have an Entrance and an Exit located so that all may enter directly onto and exit from the field. 

Leagues or Activities that utilize the Gym have an Entrance and an Exit located so that all may enter directly into and exit from the Gym

Adherence to the above wull be strictly enforced.  Your cooperation is appreciated.

CLEANING & SANITIZING PROCEDURES

At the conclusion of each game/activity, our maintenance team will follow enhanced cleaning protocols to sanitize the playing area and stands prior to the next scheduled game/activity.  The Sports Arena's game/activity schedule has accounted for this extra cleaning time.  Please be respectful of this added measure and look to exit promptly after the game/activity you are atttending has concluded.
